Legacy = today’s GL-journal export. Config connects, maps and reconciles with no writes either way. Live = the new engine running; go-live is the one-way cutover that turns the legacy export off. POC: click a step to preview it.

Customers & vendors are not required — unmatched records find-or-create at push. Required accounts are the specific GL accounts the enabled objects post to (AP/journal distributions, and Sales Tax Payable when Invoices are enabled) — all must be mapped, except Sales Tax Payable which auto-provisions if left unmapped.
Sync overview & matching
Enable sends full records to QuickBooks (its GL journal stops); off keeps the legacy GL-journal-only behavior for that type. Chart of Accounts is required. Vision / In QuickBooks are the totals on each side; the gap is what still needs matching (or ignoring). Select an object name (the blue links) to review and match its records in a panel — in Config nothing syncs to QuickBooks, and matching, ignoring, and open-item choices are all reversible, so it’s safe to open and look.

Transactional records (invoices, credit memos, payments, AP bills, vendor credits) aren’t matched here — reconcile their open balances before go-live on the screen (exclude already-journaled items, bring them in at cutover, or link / seed opening balances).
